Longan(Euphoria longan)

The Longan is a fruit from China that bears considerable resemblance to the Lychee. It is more vigorous in growth than the lychee, has larger leaves and brownish, woolly twigs. It is also considerably more cold resistant.

Fruiting Habits:
The reddish fruit is 0.5 to 0.75 inch in diameter (1.2 to 2 cm) and has a thin layer of edible pulp surrounding the seed. The flavor is somewhat inferior to the lychee.
