The California Strawberry is often considered a subspecies of the widely spread and quite variable species.
The fruit is considered a delicacy, and the roots and leaves are used medicinally.
Blooming Habits:
White flowers, 0.6 inch in diameter (15 mm), followed by the characteristic fruit, 0.3 to 0.5 inch in diameter (7-12 mm).
