The name sakarahaensis comes from the locality of Sakaraha in Madagascar where the plant was first collected in the early 1990's. The name is sometimes misspelled 'sakaharaensis'. It is a relative of Euphorbia milii and E. neobosseri.

Blooming Habits:
Brownish variably colored cyathias in winter.
