Origin: Northwestern Somalia ("Bari Region; Galgalo, 25 km west of Carin") at elevation over 3000 feet (900 m), in limestone embankments

Growth Habits: Succulent shrubs, up to 2 feet tall (60 cm), 3 feet wide (1 m), thorns in pairs up to 0.6 inches long (1.5 cm)
