Growth Habits: Compact evergreen shrub, up to 4 feet tall (1.2 m), 8 feet spread (2.4 m); sessile, furry, oblong to elliptical gray leaves, 0.8 to 2 inches long (2-5 cm), 0.2 to 0.8 inches wide (5-20 mm)

Watering Needs: Moderate water until established. Little water after. Needs good drainage.

Propagation: Cuttings, seeds


Blooming Habits:
Purplish-red flowers, 1.6 to 2.4 inches in diameter (4-6 cm). They are organized in cymes containing 1 to 7 flowers. They come in spring, and often again in the fall.
