Growth Habits: Clumping, dark green semi-globose stems, 0.6 to 0.8 inch long (1.5-2 cm), merging in a tuberous root 1.2 to 2 inches long (3-5 cm); young areoles with white wool, old ones bare; one central spine curved upward, 0.5 to 0.6 inch long (1.2-1.5 cm); 1 or 2 (to 3) radials 0.1 to 0.2 inch long (3-5 mm)


Blooming Habits:
Light cream to slightly pinkish flowers, with reddish throat, petals generally with darker mid-stripe. They bloom in winter (January-February) in the wild.
