Sun Exposure: Bright light avoid direct sun

Origin: Bolivia (Tarija) in mountainous areas around 10,000 feet (3000 m)

Growth Habits: Clumping, heads 1 inch wide (2.5 cm), 0.8 inch tall (2 cm) or more; tap root

Watering Needs: Little water in summer, none in winter

Propagation: Offsets, seeds


Blooming Habits:
Orange flower, 1.6 inches in diameter (4 cm), 2 inches long (5 cm)

Culture:
Root prone, often grafted to make it easier to grow, keep cool and dry in winter
