Origin: Coastal Mexico (Jalisco, Michoacán, Nayarit, Oaxaca, Sinaloa, southern Sonora)

Growth Habits: Slim stems, basally branching, reaching 6 to 10 feet tall (2-3 m); 7 to 12 ribs, 0.2 inches tall (5 mm) narrowly separated; areoles 0.4 inches apart (1 cm); 1(to 4) central yellow spine, 0.6 to 1 inch long (1.5 to 2.5 inches); 8-10 acicular radials


Blooming Habits:
Pinkish flower with white outer segments, 2.8 inches long (7 cm); rough globose greenish fruit, 0.8 to 1.2 inch in diameter (2-3 cm); black seeds.
