Growth Habits: Stems depressed, up to 0.8 inch tall (2 cm), 1.6 inches in diameter (4 cm), 7 to 11 needle-like central spines with often one hooked, 26 to 32 radials
Blooming Habits:
Funnelform white flowers with pinkish midveins, 0.5 inch long (1.2 cm)
