Growth Habits: Sprawling to shrubby cactus, freely branching 2 to 3-angled stems, 8 inches long (20 cm) or more. Areoles with 3 to 10 spines, up to 0.5 inch long (12 mm)


Blooming Habits:
Purplish red, bell-shaped to tubular, diurnal flowers, in early summer, 1 inch long (2.5 cm). The fruits are white, globose.
