Growth Habits: Usually solitary, dark green columnar stem, 14 to 18 inches tall (35-45 cm), up to 6.4 inches in diameter (16 cm); about 15 broad ribs; brownish areoles; 14 cream or yellow spine, up to 0.5 inch long (12 mm).
