Growth Habits: Solitary globular cactus becoming columnar as it grows, up to 5 inches tall (12 cm), 3.2 inches in diameter (8 cm); grooved tubercles, 0.6 inches long (1.5 cm); woolly axils; 4 darker central spines, sometimes hooked; 8-10 white radials
Watering Needs: Water freely in spring and summer, keep dry in winter
Propagation: Offsets.
Blooming Habits:
The yellow flowers are 2.5 inches in diameter. They come freely between spring and fall.
