Growth Habits: Columnar or conical plant, generally solitary, up to 12 inches tall (30 cm), 3 inches in diameter (7.5 cm); tubercles up to 0.8 inch long (2 cm) with woolly axils; 1 straight central spine; 8-12 radials


Blooming Habits:
Diurnal yellow flowers with brownish outer segments, up to 1 inch long (2.5 cm). The fruit are 0.4 inch long (1 cm), 0.2 inches in diameter (5 mm).
