Synonym: Erdisia quadrangularis
Family: Cactaceae

Origin: Peru (Ayacucho)

Growth Habits: Basally branching, 5 feet tall (1.5 m); stems 1.6 to 2 inches wide (4-5 cm); 4( to 5) ribs; 2 inches long (5 cm) central spines; 4 to 8 radial spines, 0.4 to 0.8 inch (1 to 2 cm) long


Blooming Habits:
Flowers yellow to red; fruit 1.2 inches in diameter (3 cm), reddish green
