Growth Habits: Miniature Copiapoa, usually clustering, partially underground, up to 1 inch in diameter (2.5 cm); 15 to 20 ribs; occasionally 1 central spine; 4 to 7 insignificant radials

Watering Needs: Needs deeper pot and excellent drainage to accommodate the tap root.

The species name is occasionally misspelled 'lauii'

Blooming Habits:
Diurnal yellow flowers with reddish petal tips, 1 inch in diameter (2.5 cm)
