Origin: Chile (Antofagasta, north of Taltal)

Growth Habits: Solitary or forming large clumps, each globose stem up to 5 inches wide (12 cm); 13 to 24 ribs; 14 to 20 central spines, 1 inch long (2.5 cm); 10 to 12 grayish radial spines, 0.8 inch long (2 cm)


Blooming Habits:
Clear yellow flowers, 1.4 inches long (3.5 cm)
