Origin: Central Peru

Growth Habits: Shrubby, 3 to 5 feet tall (1 to 1.5 m), 1.4 to 2 inches (3.5 to 5 cm) in diameter; 8 to 10 ribs; 4( to 5) central spines, 0.2 to 0.8 inch (0.5 to 2 cm) long; 10 to 13 radial spines, 0.1 to 0.4 inch (0.2 to 1 cm) long;

Flowers 3.4 inches (8.5 cm) in length, red
