Origin: Brazil (Mato Grosso)

Growth Habits: Shrubby cactus, prostrate stems with erect tips, up to 36 inches long (90 cm), 1.2 to 2.8 inches in diameter (3 to 7 cm); 5 or 6 ribs; 1 central spine, up to 1.4 inches long (3.5 cm); around 5 radials;


Blooming Habits:
Nocturnal white flowers, up to 10 inches long (25 cm); followed by globose fruits, up to 2 inches in diameter (5 cm)
