Scientific Name: Armatocereus matucanensis Backeb.
Synonym: Armatocereus arboreus, Armatocereus churinensis
Family: Cactaceae

Origin: Southern Ecuador and Peru

Growth Habits: Tree-like cactus, branching basally, greyish segments, up to 20 inches long, 5 inches in diameter (13 cm); 5-8 shallow ribs; awl shaped spines; 1 to 4 central spines, up to 2.8 inches long (7 cm), 8 to 14 radials


Blooming Habits:
Horizonthal or erect nocturnal white flowers, up to 4 inches long (10 cm), 2.4 inches in diameter (6 cm)
