Phoenix Garden Calendar

This small mesemb genus comes from southern Cape Province in South Africa. They are named after the botanist Alwin Berger (the name means Berger's flower).

Most Bergeranthus are summer grower and should be kept rather dry in winter. They will take some light frost for a short period of time.
