I have two Jacarenda Mimosifolia trees. One small one froze last year and we had to cut it way back. It is doing well now. Cover your trees up if you have a freeze this year. We thought since we were in the Phoenix area it would not hurt, but we were wrong. They don't seem fast growing to me, but we got off to a bad start. They are beautiful! And the full grown trees are very tall and lush. Good Luck!
