Wild bush in Anguilla beach

Hi,

I took a cutting of this succulent in a beach in Anguilla, which is an island in the Caribbean with an dry, arid-tropical landscape. It has an intense green fragrance and the bush grows to be about two feet tall. Does anyone know what it is? I put the cuttings in water to see if they will grow shoots but am not sure if they will. thanks!
