Watering Needs: Low water use, drought tolerant, tolerates poorly drained soils


Blooming Habits:
Showers of strongly vanilla-scented, white or violet-tinged flowers with yellow throats, on loose 1 to 3 inches spikes (2.5-7.5 cm), in spring to fall after rains. The flowers are attractive to butterflies and bees.

Culture:
This plant tends to have a scraggy appearance but can be pruned into a hedge or a small tree. It can form a thicket of stems from the base.
