Heat Tolerance: Good tree in the desert

Origin: Western Australia, in areas getting 10 inches of rain a year

Growth Habits: Evergreen tree, fast growing to 15 to 40 feet tall (4.5-12 m), 20 feet wide (6 m); rough flaky bark

Watering Needs: Occasional deep watering, tolerates poor drainage, poor soils

Propagation: Seeds


Blooming Habits:
Striking coral red and yellow flowers in flushes, mostly in summer, occasionally on and off all year round.

Fruiting Habits:
Seed capsules are 1/2 inch long, grooved.
