Cultural Practices:
Plant the bulbs in the fall, 4 inches deep (10 cm), in small groups, 1 foot apart (30 cm).

Blooming Habits:
Globose clusters, up to 6 inches in diameter (15 cm) of bright purplish-lilac florets, in early summer, on 5 feet tall or more, stems (150 cm). The flower stems make great cut flowers, on the plant, they last 2 to 3 weeks.
