The name Drimia comes from a Greek term for 'acrid'. The bulb are intensely irritant and should be handled with caution.
Drimiopsis maculata is a caudiciform lily. The bulbs bear dark green mottled leaves.

Blooming Habits:
In late spring or summer, the Drimiopsis maculata bears white flowers fading to green, on 12 inches spikes.
