The Columnea schiediana is relatively easy to grow epiphytic plant. It is particularly effective in hanging baskets.

Cultural Practices:
The columnea, as most epiphytic plants, requires an light, well drained soil. Water and fertilize regularly.

Blooming Habits:
The Columnea schiedana blooms most of the year. It has mottled flowers, brown spots on a yellowish background. They come in the leaf axils.
