Growth Habits: Trailing perennial, up to 2 feet tall (60 cm), out of cone-shaped rhizome; dark green, spear-shaped leaves

Watering Needs: Needs constantly moist and acid soil; use well drained peat-moss based soil mix

Propagation: Division

The rhizome can be overwintered in a frost free place for areas that are colder than zone 10. It is a popular plant for hanging baskets. The rhizome should be planted in the spring when the temperature excede 60F (15C), in light shade.

Blooming Habits:
Blue, white, or pink tubular flowers, 2.5 inches long and across (6.2 cm), in summer.
