Sarcocaulon![]()
There are 14 species of Sarcocaulon from South Africa that are generally now included in the genus Monsonia. They are subject to extreme drought in their native areas, and are known to survive for many years without any water. Their flowers as for Monsonia and Geranium are actinomorphic, all the petals have equal size and shape. This characteristic distinguishes them from Pelargonium
