Mamillopsis was described for one or maybe 2 species from the highlands of Mexico. Its main characteristic is the shape of its flowers different from Mammillaria. Here we follow the IOS consensus and include it in Mammillaria. Species and varieties Mamillopsis diguetii synonym of Mammillaria senilis Mamillopsis senilis synonym of Mammillaria senilis
